We have recently finished designing, making and fitting these storage cabinets for a client. The brief was typical of the kind of work we carry out often, that is, to find an elegant and useful furniture and storage solution for a difficult space. In this case, the difficult space was in the clients’ orangery – we’ll post up the pictures of the fitted final result in a day or so. We designed them to fit into the orangery in a way that they don’t impede light, and that they are all fully accessible.
These cabinets were constructed in American Oak, and Oak veneered MDF with an oiled, natural finish. We built them so that the legs would sit in front of the skirting board, and they are of biscuited and screwed construction. All the cupboards have one adjustable shelf, and the bookcase has four adjustable shelves.
