Now, we love shops like Ikea and the many different objects they sell for our homes. But then sometimes people ask us why our price for an item such as a book case like the one we made a few weeks ago are much more than somewhere like Ikea’s prices.
And apart from facts like the sturdy book case above is hand-made, in the UK, by British craftsmen, made and fitted to measure and will last a lifetime if not longer.
It’s a bit like that phrase that old bikers use about why they ride old motorcycles or live a certain lifestyle – if you have to ask, you wouldn’t understand the answer. And sometimes when someone asks about the cost of our furniture when comparing it to stuff from Argos or Ikea, we feel the same thing – but always reply politely of course!
